Bombshell Russian Spy was Ordered to Seduce Edward Snowden

Femme fatale and Russian spy Anna Chapman was ordered by the Kremlin to seduce National Security Agency whistleblower Edward Snowden in a bid to keep him in Moscow where he could be pumped for U.S. secrets, a defector told the media this past weekend.

Former KGB agent Boris Karpichkov said 32-year-old Chapman met Snowden, 31, only one time, but she also proposed to him in a tweet in July 2013.

Screen Shot 2014-12-07 at 11.13.21 PM “Snowden, will you marry me?” the tweet read.

Karpichkov said it was all a ruse — one Snowden didn’t fall for.

“Snowden became concerned about what the consequences would be,” Karpichkov told Sunday People. “If Snowden had accepted, he would have a right to Russian citizenship. That would lock him in Russia. As a citizen he’d need permission to leave.”

Karpichkov said Snowden was “concerned about what the consequences would be” of being romantically involved with Chapman.

Chapman became a celebrity in Russia after being arrested in the summer of 2010 for being part of a sleeper cell of Russian agents in the U.S. She was deported back to Russia with nine other fellow agents.

Before her arrest, she worked as a real estate agent in New York City.

After returning home in 2010, she worked as a model and became a television star.
