Less than 24 hours after the "Sydney seige" a complete list has been released of the cut spending programs, official bodies and closed Departments by the "Liberal" Abbott Australian Government.
The cuts which affect everything from children to veterans are so the money can be diverted into "National Security & Terrorism".

Someone was working overtime to put these changes together. Probably a lot longer than 24 hours since the event. These kinds of things take months of planning and consulting.
The money will instead be spent with the Military Industrial Complex on keeping the population safe. A raft of new laws are already in the pipeline concerning liberties and travel, with mandatory reporting of journeys and internal visas rumoured.
