After nearly a year and a half without watching TV, what I saw and felt while visiting a friend and being innundated by his huge plasma flat screen disturbed me. It’s a feeling one could never understand or appreciate without tuning out of that world for as long as I did.
As I often say, there is a reason they call it programming.
The official position on subliminal advertising is ‘We don’t use it, and it doesn’t work,’ yet huge corporations spends billions of dollars a year learning new ways to entice us to spend money we don’t have on crap we don’t need. And the results of this research is the sole property of the corporations that pay for it- none of this is disclosed to the public. The simple fact is that we are not allowed to know what they are doing to us.
In his powerful and provocative book, Mind Programming, Eldon Taylor explores the ins and outs of sublimnal messaging. Not only how it works, but how it is intentionally used to exploit you and me on a daily basis. The manual cites specific examples of concept drawings that went on to become actual ads. I won’t display the pictures that point out the hidden genital organs within this drawing, but all that and more can be found in the book and at Mr. Taylor’s website linked below. The manual itself even points out the hidden messaging intentionally embedded in this picture.
This is the actual ad that became of it. While the seductive glare, and the choker with a fairy blowing a flute may stand out to the conscious mind, what you’re not noticing is the glass. The woman is pointing at specific images hidden in the ice. Do you see them now? The hidden message behind this ad is ‘Buy this product and you’ll get threesomes.’ What kind of impact do you think this irresponsible use of these techniques would have on a society being bombareded with this stuff 24/7? Wouldn’t men become more insistant that their wives let them bring another woman into the bedroom? Wouldn’t such behavior gradually become more common and accepted? Would it eventually become so ‘normal’ that swingers clubs would pop up everywhere and movies would be made about it?
This stuff is everywhere- so common we don’t even notice it anymore. It’s not odd at all to see nearly naked women on billboards for our children to see. Lusting has become a way of life for us Americans, and as our desires mount, we borrow and spend more and more every year to feed our demons. When will enough be enough? When will we appreciate what we are already blessed with?
As disturbing as all this is, there is hope. The CIA… the absolute kings of mind control… in all their studies have found that 15% of the population is immune to it. Yes, FIFTEEN PERCENT OF THE POPULATION IS COMPLETELY IMMUNE TO MIND CONTROL! That percentage I believe could be much higher if we take control of our minds again. If we quit looking for someone to blame for our problems. If we quit looking outside ourselves for the answers. If we take responsibility for our thoughts and actions. If we begin to understand what Jesus truly meant by ‘He that asks receives,’ we have a shot at becoming ourselves again. Rather than asking yourself ‘Why does this always happen to me,’ try this one: “How have I asked for what I am receiving?”
