NASA is slowly being shut down by the government, and I think I know why...
I. For those who haven't noticed yet, NASA is slowly shutting down
Back in 2011, I was shocked to hear that WISE -- one of NASA's most prolific telescopes -- had been shut down after little more than one year in service.
WISE discovered asteroids, comets, black holes and even... brown dwarfs. And here is an interesting fact: WISE was shut down just before comet Elenin entered our solar system. [1], [2]
Why on Earth would NASA shut down its best telescope for observing Elenin? Because there was definitely much more to this "comet" than they were ready to disclose to the general public.
The fact is that Elenin was by far, NASA's most observed "comet", and there have been a lot of voices stating that this was just a smoke screen for something bigger... much bigger. It has been widely speculated that Elenin was in fact the infamous brown dwarf/dark star cousin of our Sun. [3]
