Many of you may have looked into what are being touted as “survival communities”, with the promise of all kinds of securities and a place to live. In some cases the cost is from fifty grand to 500 grand. Many have joined these factions, thinking it is a smart and prudent move, but it sounds like a nightmare to me.
It is best to investigate deeply the survival community of choice and not by asking questions of the membership or the outfit touting the survival village. I would go so far as hiring a professional investigator. Sure it might cost a few thousand, but save you way more in the long run.
The lists I have seen all seem to be way to good to be true. From food to medical services, to arms and schools for your kids. Plus the added security of the outpost. The promises made are truly over the top, but desperate folks, who have no clue, are sucked in by the dozens if not by the hundreds. These communities are all over the world and have really been on the rise. Why? Well, one reason is money. Someone is going to make a ton of it. Nothing wrong with anyone making a buck, but suckers come from all walks of life. And the times being what they are leads folks to these types of criminals with no conscience. and in some cases they have no intention of delivering a thing. It is dream made up for the gullible. And despite what people may think, they are for the most part way too naive for their own good. The naïve public is soon relieved of their cash and the many other goods they bring with them. And the contracts leave you with no recourse.
If you do a search on the net, you will find many survival communities listing all kinds of great facilities currently being built. Some may even have great plans that they hope will come to fruition, but from my own investigations, I see little of what I call a reality check on their part. Dreams have a habit of becoming a nightmare, just like a military recruiter who promises dreams but more often delivers nightmares. And that is what these outfits seem to be doing, recruiting the gullible with vague visions, couched in a promise that is of no value and impossible to achieve. Some are just a scheme to separate you of your cash and goods. They are telling you what you want hear and you are easy prey for them. The news is full of threats. I call the news “the scare”, scaring the average Joe into making dumb moves to protect his family. What we get here as far as real news is zip. The football player is more important than real world activities and no doubt even what leaks through is censored to some degree.
I hate to see honest hard working folks get ripped. However, there has to be a few of these communities that are okay, at least I would hope that is the case. If that is your interest then really investigate, no pussy footing, avoid being a numbskull.
I do not mean to make this a blanket condemnation of the so called survival communities, but beware, cheaters are lurking everywhere.
Survival communities should not be confused with the many locations where it seems like minded people have moved to buy their own land, Many locations in Utah and Oregon and Arizona, and even California, etc, are not part of a scheme full of promises. In all cases buyer beware.
