Troy Prockett might want to stop drinking. Not only did he get caught drinking and driving for the third time, but he also climbed 30 feet up a tree and pretended to be an owl.
The 37-year-old man/owl was spotted driving erratically by State Trooper Michael McCammon. Instead of pulling over immediately, Prockett continued to drive in the breakdown lane for three-quarters of a mile.
After he mulled over his options, he decided to jump out of his car and jump over the guard rail and into the woods. After searching for the dude for about an hour, police found Prockett hiding in a tree.
He then asked police if they “had caught the guy who was driving” and then climbed higher up the tree. And then things got really weird when he started to talk about how he was an owl hiding in a tree. Police told him to get his drunk a** down from the tree, but he refused to do.
In fact, he continued to climb higher and then shook the branches of the tree and said, “Look it’s snowing!”
After police had their fun with him, firefighters arrived on the scene and assisted officers with getting the man down from the tree. He was arrested and charged with third-offense drunken driving, resisting arrest, failure to stop for police, leaving the scene of property damage, disturbing the peace and impersonating an owl.
Hoo-hoo-hoo would get this drunk? And how did he climb the tree so well? I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t even be able to do that sober.
