KITV News, Nov. 13, 2013: A new wave of possible tsunami debris starting to wash up on our state shorelines. [...] This isn’t tsunami debris Hawaii’s used to seeing. Pieces of a 20-foot wood beam that recently washed up on Malaekahana Beach on Oahu. It’s probably from a home. Gisela Speidel of the University of Hawaii says if this came from Japan, it could indicate a new wave is headed our way. “It really looks like a different type of debris is coming in. Before, it was oyster buoys, the things that floated, boats that sat high in the water.
