Coptic Priest Shot Dead In Egypt's Sinai Peninsula

Unknown assailants riding a motorcycle fired on a Coptic priest in the vicinity of the Al-Masaeed church and fire station in Al-Arish, North Sinai. A medical source at the Al-Arish public hospital stated that the priest was Father Mina Abud Sharubiyin, 39, who eventually died from gunshots after arriving at the hospital. Islamic militants also attacked 4 egyptian army checkpoints in the sinai peninsula. No word on casualties at this time.
