In recent days, there have been a number of high-profile shootings. Then again, there are shootings every day in urban, low income communities but the media only seems to care when this violence reaches the predominantly white suburbs…
There is no doubt in my mind that these mass killers feed off one another. Multiple studies have found that mass killings tend to happen in waves, with subsequent killers seeking the same notoriety of those who came before.
Guns aren't the problem. The problem is that these killers are immortalized and made infamous by the wall-to-wall media coverage following these horrific tragedies. If guns were to blame, there would have been a string of mass shootings back when children beware allowed to bring their rifles to school…
None of this logic stopped Barack Obama from going on a tangent at a town hall event the other day. What he said was so alarming that it deserves a response…
"My biggest frustration is that this society hasn’t been willing to take some basic steps to keep guns out of the hands of people who can do unbelievable damage."
We have taken a number of "basic" steps to stop crazy people from getting their hands on guns. We have background checks at the point of sale when guns are purchased from dealers. Every gun mass produced for civilians must first go through the background check system. We prohibit felons, drug addicts, and mentally deranged individuals from buying guns. In many ways, these programs go too far by infringing on our rights. To suggest that we have done nothing is nothing but a lie!
"We’re the only developed country where this happens. And it happens weekly. Our levels of gun violence are off the charts."
We are the only developed country where this happens because, a little over 200 years ago, a bunch of very smart people realized that the benefits of an armed citizenry to protect against government tyranny far outweighs the negatives. And no, Mr. President, this doesn't happen "weekly." The statistics he is referring to were put out by Michael Bloomberg's gun control group and alleges that 1.3 mass shootings happen every week. What the President isn't saying is that within this data are dozens of suicides, gang murders, accidental shootings, and even shootings that just happen to take place within a federal school zone. The data is so skewed that it is an obvious attempt at deception. In a country of 300+ million people who are endowed by their creator with the right to bear arms, there will be some accidents and malicious acts.
"A couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting… and Australia just said 'well that's it, we're not seeing that again.' they imposed very serious, tough gun laws, and they haven't had a mass shooting since."
This is where Barack Hussein Obama really shows his true colors. Australia is the poster child for his gun control agenda? The Australian government banned semi-automatic weapons and literally went door-to-door confiscating previously legal firearms. We have known for years that the Democrats' goal was firearm confiscation. For Obama to come out and publicly praise Australia's "solution" for gun violence is proof that this tyrant wants nothing more than to just disarm every American!
Tell Congress it must STOP Obama's gun control push for disarmament!
Now, I know what you're saying: "This could never happen in America…"
Well, while Obama was praising Australia's gun confiscation program as a solution for America's gun violence, the new White House spokesman, Josh Earnest, told reporters that the President is looking to act "administratively and unilaterally" on guns.
"The president’s goal is to look for opportunities to act administratively, unilaterally using his executive authority to try to make our communities safer,” Earnest said, and nothing would ever "stop the president from continuing to push for administrative steps that we can take to help reduce gun violence.”
So there you go… While Congress was on vacation last week, Barack Obama has been conspiring to take MORE executive actions to disarm the American people.
If Australia's law is Obama's ideal solution and the President is gearing up to sign more gun control executive orders, then this could be the most dangerous gun control push ever!
The only thing that stands between Obama and complete disarmament is YOU!
With all of the copycat killers out there, looking to kill as many people as possible so that the media will immortalize them, the gun control lobby is gearing up to make another run at passing unconstitutional gun control laws. They have millions of dollars at their disposal and are trying to influence as many legislators as possible to violate your rights.
This is where we stand our ground! This is where we dig in and demand that Congress put an end to this tyranny and STOP Obama from instituting gun control and disarmament efforts by executive fiat!
The President has shown his hand. He is preparing to sign new gun control executive orders and he looks at Australia’s gun bans/confiscations as a model!
The Second Amendment is supposed to protect the rights of the people from tyrannical executives. However, if the past six years has proven anything, words on a piece of paper will do nothing to stop Obama’s overreach!
Obama and the gun control lemmings in Congress might be able to ignore the Constitution, they might be able to sidestep the law, but they cannot avoid the voices of American gun owners demanding that their rights be respected and honored!
The writing is on the wall. All that remains to be seen is what we patriots will do to stop King Obama from destroying the country as we know it!
You put your Congressmen and Senators in office to defend your rights. They took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. There is an enemy of the Constitution occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue… Congress MUST put an end to Obama’s gun control efforts!
You must DEMAND that Congress put an end to this tyranny once and for all and protect American gun owners from Obama’s unquenchable thirst for gun control!
