If you don’t want what’s left of the US economy to be crushed under a greedy carbon tax justified by the global warming hoax, the best thing to do is elect more Tea Party Republicans. Don’t take my word for it; here it is straight from the maw of DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz:
It is a lie that 97% of scientists, having knuckled under to political pressure or sold out for government grants, endorse global warming. Even if global warming were not also a lie, a carbon tax would have no measurable effect on the weather or sea levels anyway.
But it would do plenty to redistribute our wealth to our liberal bureaucrat overlords, as well as to accelerate our incremental transition from economic liberty to a Soviet-style centralized economy.
The effect on the economy would be disastrous, which is why Democrats were not able to inflict a carbon tax by democratic means even when they controlled both branches of Congress.
Yet Dems won’t give up on a carbon tax, even as ever fewer people can be duped into believing in its justification. Maybe it doesn’t matter how many Tea Partiers are elected after all. Maybe hardcore statists are counting on Obama to yield his pen and his phone to defy the will of the people yet again by imposing the tax through executive order and the vast terrifying apparatus of the EPA.
