You can tell the Obama people are terrified of this scandal by the way McDonough reacted to the question. He was very defensive, spouting a bunch of nonsense about how Obama has been committed to veterans’ health for many years. But he could not give an example of anything Obama has said about the scandal over the last three weeks.
