Eating Fresh From The Garden – Harvest Season Is In Full Swing….The Sunday Farm Update

Fresh Blackberry Pie. We are so lucky to have a nice supply of wild blackberries that grow along our property fence line! Nothing beats the taste of fresh green beans sautéed with a little fresh garlic From a fresh food perspective – it doesn’t get any better than this time of year! The garden is in full swing – and so are the meals in our household. Fresh green beans, basil pesto, sliced tomato and egg sandwiches, fresh salsa with peppers, tomato, garlic and onion, corn on the cob and blackberry and peach pie all made their way to the dinner table this week. The truth is – this time of year is a bit trying when it comes to figuring out what we want to eat fresh form the garden – mainly because the choices outnumber the number of times we can eat in a day.
