Continued Attacks On Our Troops Overseas And In Australia.

It is no surprise to those that know me that I am against having our troops in Afghanistan. The cost is horrific in monetary terms, but most importantly in terms of those who never saw their family again. Forty of our brave soldiers, returned to Australian soil, not to the happy family reunion they had dreamt of, but to sorrow and grief at the loss of sons, husbands, fathers and mates. We also sustained hundreds of seriously wounded troops and invested about $7.5 billion fighting the war in Afghanistan.
